徐悲鴻作白描觀音大士象畫的其實是他心儀美麗的學生愛人孫多慈但孫母卻不幸地拒絕了他們倆的美好婚姻.
The Guanyin Figure by Xu Beihong was actually drawn to represent his beautiful beloved student love Miss Sun Duoci whose mother had refused their happy marriage unfortunately.

The biography of Xu Beihong "徐悲鴻年譜" written in chronological order: In 1939,《Guanyin Figure》was drawn by Xu Beihong to PRAY FOR THE DEAD CHINESE GENERALS AND SOLDIERS.
